Introduction:

The MCQ Bridging course is an intensive full-time 5-week course to prepare you for the Australian Medical Council MCQ-CAT Exam –which is the first step towards your journey as a registered medical professional in Australia.

The course comprises of tutorials and lectures taken by our team of experienced and motivated tutors in

Course Objective:

We aim to help international medical graduates strengthen their foundation of medical knowledge, whilst focusing on topics and content that are of utmost importance in the MCQ-CAT exam.

By training our students in common clinical scenarios encountered in the Australian healthcare system, we equip you with all necessary tools to understand the latest medical protocols – an essential key to passing the AMC MCQ-CAT exam with exemplary scores.

Course Framework:

Duration: 5 weeks (Both online and face to face options available)

Timings: 9:30am – 5:30pm

Located conveniently at Sydney:

AMRC Centre, Level 1, 7-9 Churchill Avenue, Strathfield 2135

Course Assessment:

You will be offered three MCQ Trial exams during your course included in the course fee.

These exams allow you to experience the MCQ-CAT Exam and assess your level of preparation as they are patterned after the blueprint of the AMC MCQ-CAT, with 150 questions in a 3.5 hour period.

You will take the exam on individual computers with a detailed feedback session at the end of each exam where you will be able to assess how to improve your scores and gain key tips to success in an MCQ based assessment!

We also offer part-time options for our MCQ Courses, keeping in mind the needs of those unable to commit their time to attend the full 5 weeks.

AMRC is a centre established by IMG’s for IMG’s. Our courses usually run from 9:30am – 5:30pm except for Clinical crash courses and workshops that commence earlier at 9am. We might have weekend classes on some weekends depending on tutor availability and class requirements.
AMRC is a medical review centre led by a committed team of international medical graduates who have been through the same process that you are currently beginning. Our tutors are now working at different levels within the Australian healthcare system as Consultants, Registrars, Residents and General Practitioners in both rural and urban areas in different parts of Australia.

Yes, you can avail of our trial exams even if you have not attended the full course. The Clinical Trial Exam costs $700.00 AUD. Subsequent trial exams will cost $500AUD per exam.
There is no need to apply for a student visa for the bridging course.
No. You are welcome to attend our bridging courses even prior to obtaining your medical license in preparation of the Australian medical Council Exams.

Are the bridging courses worth it?
Yes, definitely! it is worth it and here are some of the reasons: - These Bridging Courses introduce you to the Australian Medical System. - It opens a network of potential colleagues and referees - It significantly increases your chances for getting good marks in the exams - We offer a personalised approach in our tutorials and our students get all the support they need in their exam preparations
To attend the course, there is no English requirement.
