All doctors that are trained overseas need to have their skills assessed under the Australian Medical Council. This is the main reason why the Australian Medical Review Centre was established, to assist overseas trained doctors in this process of professional recognition. We provide bridging courses which strengthen the doctor’s medical foundation, enhance their clinical skills and familiarize them with the Australian Medical Council exams (CAT MCQ exam and Clinical exam) and fundamentals of the Australian health care system.
Bridging courses are quite essential for any Overseas Trained Doctor who wishes to practice here in Australia. These courses provide tuitions on topics which are relevant and frequently encountered in the exams and also in the day to day medical practice thus, improving their professional knowledge and skills in the areas necessary to undertake the Australian Medical Council examinations.
Trial exams are also part of the course, where the doctor can experience first hand how it is to take the exam.
The Centre also aim to provide workshops that would cater to the specific needs of the doctor such as workshops on English, communication, CV writing and job hunting where possible.
Attending these courses and active participation would give the doctor a chance to build his/her network in the Australian Health System.
We are here to guide you in your pathway to entering the medical workforce in the Australian Health Care System.
